1. For Undergraduate Applicants— First-Year ( Freshmen) and Transfer Students

Please Review the information below, then select the appropriate application link at the bottom of the page.

First-Time Applicants

• Locate the First-Time Users section.
• Select the Create an Account option.
• Follow the guided prompts to establish your application profile.

Returning Applicants

• Navigate to the Returning Users section.
• Select the Log In option to access your existing application.
• Complete your in-progress application, or click Start New Application to begin a new academic pursuit.

2. Readmit Students  (Undergraduate Students Only—Graduate Students: Please Use the Graduate Application)

Are you a student who previously attended Virginia State University, stopped for any reason, and is seeking readmission?
Fill out this application instead! 

Should you have any questions regarding undergraduate readmission, please reach out to our admissions team at admiss@vsu.edu. 
 

Student Type	Description
First-Year	You are a senior in high school (this includes dual-enrolled high school students) or you have never enrolled in a college or university.
Transfer Student	You are currently or were previously enrolled at another college or university (this excludes dual-enrolled students).
Readmit	You have not been enrolled at Virginia State University for more than two consecutive semesters and have not earned a bachelor's or graduate degree during your time away from Virginia State University.
Spring 2027	You will start at Virginia State University in January 2027.
Fall 2027	You will graduate in Spring (May/June) 2027 and start at Virginia State University in August 2027.

3. For Graduate and Doctoral Applicants

 To apply to a graduate or doctoral programs, please Review the information below, then select the appropriate application link at the bottom of the page.
